Vietnam, Cambodia committed to implementing Parties’ agreements

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son met with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn in Hanoi on February 25 on the sidelines of the 2nd ASEAN Future Forum (AFF).

The officials said as co-chairs of the Vietnam-Cambodia Joint Committee, the two foreign ministries pledged to actively implement agreements between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP). They also affirmed their commitments to strengthening mutual trust, solidarity, and close cooperation between the two countries.

Prak Sokhonn expressed his delight in re-visiting Vietnam and his honour in attending and delivering a speech at the 2nd AFF, voicing his support for a strong, prosperous, and people-centred ASEAN.

He stated that Cambodia always treasures maintaining good neighbourliness with Vietnam and that his ministry will collaborate closely with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) to implement agreed-upon tasks.
